Even though the Corry Beavers scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, the Warren Dragons still came out on top. Warren enjoyed a cozy 79-62 win over the Beavers. Given Warren's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Beavers are ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Warren's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Konnor Hoffman, who scored 18 points along with five steals. Tommy Nyquist was another key contributor, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 3 assists.
Warren's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Corry, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
Warren will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Corry will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on February 16th.
