On Monday, the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls faced the Father Judge Crusaders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Archbishop Ryan walked away with a 69-58 win over the Crusaders. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Thomas Sorber continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 16 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren Williams, who scored 20 points.
Archbishop Ryan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Father Judge, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archbishop Ryan will take on the Explorers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Father Judge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tide at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Devon Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Friday.
