The Selma Bears''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Kingsburg at home and fell 44-6. Selma has struggled against Kingsburg recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Hugo Lopez threw for 174 yards and a touchdown. Javon Hicks was his top target, picking up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Leading Kingsburg to victory were Max Warkentin and Ryan Martinez. Warkentin threw for 125 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, while Martinez picked up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Pedersen, who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Selma's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Kingsburg, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
