There's no place like home for Northwest Whitfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors on Thursday. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

While Northwest Whitfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-23.

Paislee Miner paced Northwest Whitfield's offense, picking up seven kills. Miner got some help from Megan Torbett and her ten assists. Finally, T'Yanah Lee kept Northwest Whitfield's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Northwest Whitfield's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Coincidentally, Northwest Whitfield and Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will both be playing North Murray the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bruins will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
