There's no place like home for Northwest Whitfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors on Thursday. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

While Northwest Whitfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-23.

Paislee Miner paced Northwest Whitfield's offense, picking up nine kills. Miner got some help from Megan Torbett and her ten assists. Miner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Northwest Whitfield's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Coincidentally, Northwest Whitfield and Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will both be playing North Murray the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bruins will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
