Altoona dropped their record down to 6-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-0 to the Cedar Cliff Colts. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Mountain Lions were not able to get on the board.

As for Cedar Cliff, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games.

For Cedar Cliff's part, Luke Sowers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Sowers a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Blake Secrest, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Owen Anastasi, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Altoona has already played their next game, a 9-8 loss against State College on the 17th. As for Cedar Cliff, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Mechanicsburg on the 17th.
