Basketball Recap: Pasco Gets the Win

If Citrus wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pasco, they should've done a better job of containing Jamarius Williams. The Pirates strolled past the Hurricanes with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 80-65 for which the team can thank Williams, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 26 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 9.6 boards per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of William Chatfield, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of Pasco's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

The win got Pasco back to even at 4-4. As for Citrus, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pasco will take on Zephyrhills in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Citrus and Central will compete for holiday cheer at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
