The Olympic Trojans will be playing at home against the Ardrey Kell Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Olympic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 38 on Friday.
Last Friday, Olympic was beaten by Myers Park 62-26. Olympic has not had much luck with Myers Park recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Olympic saw an underclassman step up: Chai James dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. James hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 19 straight games.
Meanwhile, Ardrey Kell didn't have too much trouble with South Mecklenburg on the road on Friday as they won 49-33. Given Ardrey Kell's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while South Mecklenburg is ranked 134th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Olympic's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Ardrey Kell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Olympic was taken down by Ardrey Kell 64-34 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Olympic was down 33-13.
