The Hopkins Hilltoppers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 42-27 victory over Newark Academy on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Newark Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ewan Jack. Despite the final result, he picked up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Jack's longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards.
Hopkins' victory bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Newark Academy, their loss was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Hopkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Newark Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
