The Fernley Vaqueros stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Churchill County as Fernley made off with a 62-42 victory. The win was familiar territory for Fernley who now have 15 in a row.
Johnnie Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with five assists. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Anthony Winters, who scored nine points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Churchill County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevor Hyde, who scored nine points. Calin Anderson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Fernley's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-2. As for Churchill County, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-13.
Fernley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-60 win vs. Lowry on the 10th. Churchill County has also already played their next game, a 47-40 loss against Hug on the 12th.
