Baseball Recap: Cypress Park Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Cypress Park had lost nine straight, but after bumping their record up to 4-10 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Jordan Warriors. That three-run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

As for Jordan, they now have a losing record of 6-7-2. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7-2.

For Jordan's part, Ethan Francisco was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). That one earned run gave Francisco a new career-low.

At the plate, Ethan Segura made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Thomas Eugate, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Looking ahead, Cypress Park will be playing at home against Cypress Falls at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jordan, they will challenge Summer Creek at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
