The Orange Beach Makos will venture away from home to square off against the T.R. Miller Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orange Beach will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Orange Beach is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Fairhope, who was ranked 21st at the time (Orange Beach was ranked first). The Makos' pitcher stepped up to hand the Pirates a 15-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Makos have won 28 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

04/19/25 vs Hoover | 9 |
04/19/25 vs Thompson | 7 |
04/17/25 @ Daphne | 11 |
04/12/25 vs Thompson | 5 |
Not much got past KG Favors, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Fairhope off the board. Favors has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Teagan Revette was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Taylor Poland was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Orange Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, T.R. Miller came into Monday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Blacksher with a sharp 13-7 win on Monday.
Meg Fountain was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Aubrey Baggett also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Orange Beach pushed their record up to 37-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for T.R. Miller, their record now sits at 18-16-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Orange Beach hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like T.R. Miller struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Orange Beach's way against T.R. Miller in their previous meeting back in March, as Orange Beach made off with a 16-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Makos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
