The Dysart Demons will square off against the Lee Williams Volunteers at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Dysart has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Dysart took a 15-run defeat the last time they faced off against Shadow Mountain, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Dysart sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-14 win over Shadow Mountain on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Demons considering their one-run performance the game before.

Eduardo Carranza made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base. That stolen base was his first of the season.
In other batting news, John Amparan was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Javier Hernandez-Olaiz was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
Dysart was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Lee Williams fell victim to Lake Havasu and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 10-0. The Volunteers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Lee Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Dysart, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Lee Williams' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Dysart hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .362. It's a different story for Lee Williams, though, as they've only averaged .236. Will they be able to contain Dysart's hitters?
Dysart skirted past Lee Williams 7-6 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Does Dysart have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lee Williams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
