Basketball Recap: Hialeah Educational Academy Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Tampa Catholic came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Hialeah Educational Academy, but Josiah Brooks wouldn't allow it. The Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie came out on top against the Tampa Catholic Crusaders by a score of 74-62 on Thursday thanks in part to Brooks, who went 11 of 17 on his way to 28 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2023.

The team also got some help courtesy of Dario Haro, who posted six points along with seven boards and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sohan Alla, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points. K.J. Morgan was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.

Hialeah Educational Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Tampa Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Hialeah Educational Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 82-61 defeat against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 6th. As for Tampa Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 86-61 loss against Windermere on the 3rd.
