After flying high against the St. Joseph Jayhawks on Friday, the Rich Rebels came back down to earth. Rich received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 44-26 to Bear Lake. Rich lost against Bear Lake in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-26 score last time.
Rich's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Haydee Pugmire, who scored 3 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Molly Weston was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Rich's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bear Lake, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
Rich's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lyman at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Bear Lake, they will take on Marsh Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Marsh Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Bear Lake is ranked second).
