Two weeks ago, American Leadership Academy faced Red Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams. American Leadership Academy skirted past Red Mountain 17-14.
Diego Morales and Enoch Watson were among the main playmakers for American Leadership Academy as the former rushed for 88 yards and the latter rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown. Samuel Hunsaker did his part by putting the 'special' in special teams, booting in three field goals.
Meanwhile, Highland got the win against Williams Field on Friday by a conclusive 43-21. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Highland just coasted through the last quarter.
Among those leading the charge was Jay Martin, who rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns.
Their wins bumped American Leadership Academy to 6-1 and Highland to 5-2.
