Alpine has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge Compass Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Alpine is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Compass Academy in Texas (Alpine is ranked 502nd, while Compass Academy is ranked 1526th).
Last Tuesday, Alpine escaped with a win against Presidio by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50.
Meanwhile, Compass Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 54-34 defeat at the hands of Kermit. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Compass Academy has suffered since December 8, 2023.
Alpine's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. As for Compass Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
Alpine strolled past Compass Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 74-55. Will Alpine repeat their success, or does Compass Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
