Norwell is 9-1 against Bluffton since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will square off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. The last three games Norwell has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Norwell is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since March 29, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Logansport, sneaking past 6-5.

Cade Thornton was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one double. Adam McBride also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Norwell hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Logansport struck out ten times.

Meanwhile, Bluffton came up short against Oak Hill on Saturday and fell 12-9.

Bluffton saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Streveler, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Easton Blair was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Bluffton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Norwell, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Norwell has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bluffton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Norwell beat Bluffton 5-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
