Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cedric Brown Jr. out in front who scored 22 points. That's the first time this season that Brown Jr. scored 15 or more points. Mikhael Batties was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech will face off against KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 717th, while Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech is ranked 298th). As for Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, they will head out on the road to face off against Girard Academic Music Program at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
