Baseball Recap: Broadmoor Sets Scoring Season-High Against Northeast

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Broadmoor). Everything went their way against the Northeast Vikings on Tuesday as the Broadmoor Buccaneers made off with a 15-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Buccaneers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

M Bolivar was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (two). He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Five bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

In other batting news, T Corrales was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was B Porter, who scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Broadmoor and bumps their season record up to 2-8-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. As for Northeast, they dropped their record down to 0-4-1 with the loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Broadmoor will head out to take on Family Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Family Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Broadmoor surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northeast, they will be playing at home against North Iberville at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northeast has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
