Seffner Christian earned some more postseason success in their game on Friday. They took their matchup against Admiral Farragut by a conclusive 40-19 score. The Crusaders' victory was all the more impressive since Admiral Farragut was averaging only 13.45 points allowed on the season.
The Crusaders' offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 21 first-half points. Meanwhile, Admiral Farragut couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 21 to nothing heading into the break. The offense for the Crusaders continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 19 points to put the game away.
senior Justin Stubbs went supernova for Seffner Christian as he rushed for 263 yards and five TDs on 31 carries. Stubbs has been a consistent playmaker for Seffner Christian as this was the ninth good game in a row from him. Not surprisingly, Stubbs' sharp performance set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season. senior Isaiah Knowles also helped out by tossing the rock for 286 yards.
The win was the 10th in a row for Seffner Christian and raised their record to 10-3. The Blue Jackets' loss pushes them down to 8-4.
The Crusaders will go up against Champagnat Catholic in continuing playoff action on Friday. The stakes are high as those two teams are all in, each fighting to extend its postseason success. Admiral Farragut's playoff loss brings an end to their season.
