Gobles jumped into the top 25 in the state rankings. Gobles moved up from No. 27 in the state all the way to No. 21 thanks to a 2-0 record over the past week. Led by manager Randy Ayres, the Tigers are ranked No. 1,608 in the nation with an overall record of 17-1.
The Tigers continue to give up the least hits to opposing lineups this season, after surrendering only one in the past week. On the year, Gobles has allowed only 41 hits in 18 games.
Seth Johnson, who sits at the top of the league with a .623 batting average, finished the week at a blistering .500 clip for the Tigers.
