Munford is 0-7 against Cleburne County since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Munford Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Cleburne County Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Munford comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-15, which was the final score in Munford's tilt against Lincoln on Monday.
Meanwhile, Cleburne County took a serious blow against Central of Clay County on Friday, falling 63-18. While losing is never fun, Cleburne County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Central of Clay County is ranked 135th).
Munford's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Cleburne County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Munford took a serious blow against Cleburne County in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, falling 69-26. Can Munford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
