Gaston Day can attribute much of their success to Ava Blanton, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Gaston Christian suffered their biggest defeat since August 15th last Friday. They came up short against Gaston Day, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Eagles seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.
While Gaston Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-22.
Gaston Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Gaston Day, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's contest: Gaston Day has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 12.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Gaston Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
