The Upton Bobcats entered their tilt with the Niobrara County Tigers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Upton took down Niobrara County 60-45 on Thursday.
Niobrara County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Phoebe Allbright, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Allbright continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tessa Manning, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Upton's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Niobrara County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upton will take on Hulett at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Niobrara County, they will be playing at home against Pine Bluffs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Pine Bluffs is ranked 31st, while Niobrara County is ranked 47th).
