Willow Canyon won the last time they faced Desert Edge and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Willow Canyon Wildcats blew past the Desert Edge Scorpions 66-27. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Willow Canyon found their leader in freshman Maurice Carter II, who went 7 of 11 en route to 15 points and six assists. Jaydon Hayes was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Willow Canyon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Willow Canyon's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points per game. As for Desert Edge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Willow Canyon Wildcats face off against the Kellis Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Willow Canyon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 76.1 points per game this season. As for Desert Edge, they will host Youngker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Desert Edge is facing Youngker at the right time seeing as Youngker is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
