The Faith Christian Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 73-65 victory over West Central. The win was just what Faith Christian needed coming off of a 67-32 defeat in their prior matchup.
Maya Layton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-10 from deep and dropping a double-double on 46 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gracyn Musick, who scored six points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Faith Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10. As for West Central, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Christian will face off against South Newton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pioneer at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Pioneer is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home.
