The Richard Pioneers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over Owosso on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Owosso lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hoyt Patrick. Despite the final result, he rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.
Richard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Owosso, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6.
Richard will be playing at home against Mt. Clemens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Clemens will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Owosso does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
