The Cotulla Cowboys lost against the George West Longhorns back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cotulla fell 57-46 to George West. Cotulla has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tristen Blevins was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds for George West. Blevins has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. William Balew was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Cotulla's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for George West, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cotulla will be home for the holidays to greet Three Rivers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. George West will take on Non Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Non Varsity Opponent has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
