The Bandys Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of South Iredell by a score of 54-51. Bandys was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as South Iredell apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2015.
Bandys' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kate Dutka, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Naudia Summerville who scored 17 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists. Dutka is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Anderson, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals.
Bandys' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South Iredell, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Bandys will be playing in front of their home fans against South Caldwell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. South Iredell is on the road again on Friday and play against West Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.
