The Clarksville Academy Cougars can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 49-39 victory over Friendship Christian. The win was just what Clarksville Academy needed coming off of a 57-31 loss in their prior match.
Clarksville Academy was led to victory by Sicily Robinson and Anna Hellums. Robinson scored 21 points along with nine rebounds, while Hellums dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Fatu Crain was another key contributor, scoring no points along with 13 rebounds.
Clarksville Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Friendship Christian, they bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Clarksville Academy will face off against Goodpasture Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Goodpasture Christian will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Friendship Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Red Boiling Springs at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
