There's no place like home for the Bosco Tech Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 68-59 win over La Salle on Saturday. Given Bosco Tech's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while La Salle is ranked 500th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ryan Osborne was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Erami, who scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Several Lancers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Hajjar, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Hajjar has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Omar Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Bosco Tech pushed their record up to 18-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for La Salle, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bosco Tech will take on St. Genevieve at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Genevieve has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16. As for La Salle, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Mary Star of the Sea at 7:00 p.m.
