Indio's game  last Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs  a   12-0 shutout. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Rajahs this season.
The result came thanks to  Alyssa Perez's shutout, as she gave up just two  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Audra Higgins was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, four  runs,  and five  RBI while going 3-for-5.  Clover Cordova was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and one  double.
 Higgins wasn't the only one working in the  home run department: Indio  lost a few balls and  finished the game with three  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
The  victory snapped Indio's losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 8-9 record. As for Coachella Valley, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record  this season.
Indio will have a chance to go back-to-back against Coachella Valley: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
