The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points DSST: Green Valley Ranch has scored all season.
Despite the loss, DSST: Green Valley Ranch still got an impressive performance from Tong Bot, who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jovonnie Babineaux was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
DSST: Green Valley Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Smoky Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DSST: Green Valley Ranch won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hinkley at 11:30 a.m. on January 6th. Hinkley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 321st, while DSST: Green Valley Ranch is ranked 25th). As for Smoky Hill, they will be playing at home against Valor Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Valor Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
