South Lyon hadn't done well against Northville recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The South Lyon Lions walked away with a 55-47 victory over the Northville Mustangs. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Northville lost, don't look at Carly Pelon. Despite the final result, she shot 50% from the field en route to 23 points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Sivier, who posted 11 points and three steals.

South Lyon's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Northville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season.

South Lyon has already played their next match, a 44-39 loss against Hartland on the 10th. Northville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
