The Linn Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Russellville 62-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Linn's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Craig Laughlin, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Laughlin continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Austin Dudenhoeffer was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Linn's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Russellville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-15.
Linn will play host again and welcome St. Elizabeth, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Russellville is on the road again on Friday and plays Fatima at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th.
