Tonopah found their leader in sophomore Landen Blackburn, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Blackburn has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Crishaun Reese, who posted seven points and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Round Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Beatty on Friday, sneaking past 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since February 7, 2024.
Tonopah is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Round Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 2-11.
