The Wawasee Warriors lost against the Columbia City Eagles back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Wawasee had to suffer through a rough 71-31 loss at the hands of Columbia City. Wawasee has not had much luck with Columbia City recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Wawasee got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Mackenzie Hackleman and
Kaydence Shepherd, who each put up seven points.
Lucy Wilkinson took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Wawasee's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Columbia City, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wawasee is on the road again on Saturday and play against Mishawaka at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Columbia City, they will square off against Huntington North at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
