The Tanner Rattlers and the Pisgah Eagles squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Tanner Rattlers had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Eagles on the road and fell 66-38. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Karl Parham and Endymion Tyus certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Parham threw for 337 yards and four touchdowns, while Tyus picked up 202 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Tyus' longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards.
Tanner's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Pisgah, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Tanner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pisgah will take on Tuscaloosa Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tuscaloosa Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
