Baseball Recap: Bristol Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Bristol never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Chalker Wildcats 7-0. Considering the Panthers have won five games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jack Berry and Diesel Williams were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Berry pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Williams tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bristol is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise. At bat, Berry went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Williams went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That double was Berry's first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ronald Imhoff, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Bristol is undefeated when Imhoff posts two or more runs, but 0-5 otherwise.

Bristol pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Chalker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bristol will head out to take on Maplewood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chalker, they will venture away from home to challenge Mathews at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
