Spring Valley Academy pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 64-57 to Calvary Christian. The loss put an end to Spring Valley Academy's undefeated start to the season.
Meanwhile, even though Mars Hill Academy scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Dominion Academy still came out on top. Dominion Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 victory over Mars Hill Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Dominion Academy.
Elijah Heerdt was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 37 points and 16 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Striebich, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds.
Spring Valley Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Dominion Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
