Meanwhile, Bountiful faced Viewmont in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Bountiful took a 33-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Viewmont. The loss was the RedHawks' first of the season.
Although Bountiful took the loss, they still got scores from Emerson Geilman, Connor Clark, and Britton Tidwell.
Even if they lost, Bountiful's defensive line still kept up the pressure with seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Dawson Allsop and Connor Mertz who racked up 5.5 sacks between them. Mertz also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 13.
Bonneville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Bountiful, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
