Lancaster Mennonite hasn't had much luck against Pequea Valley recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Lancaster Mennonite came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-3 to Christian School of York.

Lancaster Mennonite saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Buckwalter, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Buckwalter has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Brady Kinney was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pequea Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They never let Octorara Area get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Friday.
The result came thanks to Logan Zynn's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pequea Valley is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-9 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Trevor Vollmer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Pequea Valley is undefeated when Vollmer posts two or more runs, but 4-11 otherwise. Stephen Smucker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Pequea Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Lancaster Mennonite's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Pequea Valley, their record now sits at 7-11.
Lancaster Mennonite suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Pequea Valley when the teams last played back in April. Can the Blazers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
