College Station waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 56-43 victory over the Brenham Cubs. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 49-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Brenham lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Antyianna Lang, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiyah Mathis, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

College Station's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Brenham, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Coincidentally, College Station and Brenham will both be playing Montgomery the next time they take the court. College Station will head out to face Montgomery at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Brenham will host them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
