After a string of six wins, the Delaware Academy Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were outmatched by Tioga on the road and fell 55-7. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Delaware Academy in their matchups with Tioga: they've now lost seven in a row.
Delaware Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Bracchy, who picked up 81 receiving yards, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tioga to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ousmane Duncanson, who rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Bellis, who threw for 132 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
Delaware Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Tioga, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Delaware Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tioga will head out on the road to face off against Dolgeville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Dolgeville is on a five-game streak of home wins, Tioga a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
