Columbus will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Hudson at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Columbus, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Columbus had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They captured a comfortable 31-14 win over Iowa Falls-Alden.
Meanwhile, Hudson had to kick off their season on the road last Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were fully in charge, breezing past Jesup 46-8. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Hudson are ranked far ahead of Jesup in the MaxPreps rankings.
Their wins bumped Columbus to 1-0 and Hudson to 1-0. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Watch the game and check back in with MaxPreps for details.
