Wood Memorial received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 41-22 to Northeast Dubois. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, Wood Memorial couldn't push the score so high this time.
Northeast Dubois was led to victory by Lyllee Schnell and Emmersen Kalb. Schnell scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 9 blocks, while Kalb scored 20 points along with 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kalb has scored at least 25% of Northeast Dubois' points. Another player making a difference was Bella Cummins, who scored 7 points.
Wood Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Northeast Dubois, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Wood Memorial will head out on the road to face off against Evansville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Evansville Christian is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Northeast Dubois, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Washington Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th. Washington Catholic comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
