Baseball Game Preview: Paris Greyhounds vs. Robertson County Black Devils

Paris has gone 9-1 against Robertson County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Paris Greyhounds will square off against the Robertson County Black Devils at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Paris' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.

If Paris beats Robertson County with 11 runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Paris put the hurt on Menifee County with a sharp 11-0 win on Wednesday. The Greyhounds haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Jacob Frazier made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Frazier was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Paris got a massive performance out of Will Wilson, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2. Brayden Kemper was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Robertson County lost 17-2 to Nicholas County on Wednesday. The Black Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Paris pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Robertson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Paris took their victory against Robertson County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paris since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
