Alcorn Central pushed their score all the way to 62 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The matchup between Alcorn Central and Colbert County wasn't particularly close, with Alcorn Central falling 76-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Friday (60), Alcorn Central still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Itawamba Agricultural came up short against Shannon on Friday and fell 58-51.
Alcorn Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Itawamba Agricultural, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10.
