Mt. Ellis Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 54-29 to the Billings Christian Warriors on Thursday. The Eagles lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in January of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 83-17 score last time.
Sawyer Middendorf had an outrageously good game for Billings Christian as he posted 21 points in addition to seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Ross, who scored 11 points.
Mt. Ellis Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Billings Christian, they and Flathead Valley HomeSchool are set to duel on Friday.
