The Batesville Pioneers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Southside Southerners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Batesville unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 28-13 bruising from Brookland.

Meanwhile, Southside faced Valley View in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Southside fell 31-21 to Valley View on Friday. It was the first time this season that Southside let down their fans at home.
Defeat or not, Southside got some senior leadership from Savion Hall who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown and Gabe Witt who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Batesville's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Southside, their loss dropped their record down to 7-1.
